.... Memorial Hall Open Day 2003-09-13 ....

 

 

 

 

The Kahibah Public School Memorial Hall is the replacement for the Kahibah Memorial Hall. The Open Day on Saturday 2003-09-13 was to acknowledge the support given by the community in the construction of the hall. 155 students and approx 400 parents, family and community members were present for the ceremony. At the end of the ceremony, Mr Richard Face unveiled a plaque to recognise his 30 years of dedicated service to the Kahibah community.

Has kept an historical photographic record of the construction of our hall.
Mr Robin Houghton, Donated all electrical equipment and installation.
Mr Dave Arndell, Excavated and levelled the site.
Mr Pete Gillispie, Expertise enabled the storm water drainage to be completed.
Mr John Howson, Donated his time generously with painting.
Mr Peter Boyle, Donated his time generously with painting.
Mr Col Curry (single photo), Managed building operations in all phases of construction.

Following the official section of the day a fete was held.

On Friday 2003-09-19, The Hon Matthew Morris MLA made a speech in the NSW Parliament on the subject of the Open Day for the hall.

The hall was officially opened on Thursday 2004-11-04 by The Hon Matthew Morris MLA on behalf of the Minister for Education.
