On 2008-05-17, the name of the school was listed in a database that was placed in a microchip on the LRO. The microchip will be included on the orbiter. To confirm the presence or absence of water ice in a permanently shadowed crater at either the Moon's North or South Pole. A participation certificate was issued to the school, as shown below.
