Our school’s voluntary participation in the National School Chaplaincy Program provided by the Department of Education and Workplace Relations, continues to show many benefits for students, parents, grandparents, caregivers and staff. Currently, several of our school’s families are experiencing deep grief. To assist them in dealing with the grieving process, parents and students are invited to utilise the services of our school chaplain, Mrs Helen Harvie, on any Tuesday or Wednesday. This opportunity is for everyone, regardless of their religious faith. As Mrs Harvie has also been heavily involved in Palliative Care for many years, as well as being trained to administer the Seasons for Growth Program, she is well equipped to provide sensitive and confidential support for both students and community members. |
