Kahibah Public School
.... Library ....

Kahibah School Library established in 1968 has a long history of inspiring students to read and borrow regularly. The Library boasts having a marvellous Collection of Children's Literature to tempt any potential borrower. The library is also a lovely place to visit as it is always decorated with students' work from all classes in the school.  We encourage Kahibah students to borrow regularly during weekly class visits or before class or during Lunch times.
The 3-day Library is staffed by a fully qualified Teacher Librarian and a Clerical Assistant.
It operates Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. It is open for borrowing in the mornings Monday and Wednesday 0845-0900, also, is open during lunch times: Mondays and Tuesday.
This is an Award given at the completion of each Term to one student from each class in the school who has borrowed the most books for that Term. The reward is to enjoy a Morning Tea served in the Library with other Awardees and the Principal, the Teacher Librarian and one class Teacher.
By Feasting on books you can feast on delicious food!

Music in the Library
Tuesdays lunchtimes
During Tuesday Lunch Times students can enjoy a Musical Performance in the Library from a budding fellow student. Students are invited each week to watch an Instrumental Performance by a Kahibah student who can play a musical instrument. This provides an opportunity for our students to perform in front of their peers and it gives others a chance to be part of an audience for a small weekly concert. It helps make our Library such a special place to visit.
This is a special honour for the talented Artists of our school to have their work displayed for one month in the Library. With the help of our Art Teacher a student is invited to display a selection of their best works in the Library for all visitors to enjoy and become The Artist Of The Month! Artist of the Month
